EASTERN WRESTLING LEAGUE WRESTLER OF THE WEEK

  Our EWL Wrestler of the Week for the week ended February 1, 2009, is Jason Guffey, a Pennsylvania native, who is a junior at Bloomsburg University, and competes at 133 pounds.  This past weekend, the Muncy spark-plug gained two victories, to help spark the Huskies to two EWL dual meet wins.  On January 30, Bloomsburg bested Clarion 22-12, and Guffey gained a 6-0 decision.  On January 31, the Huskies bit the Cleveland State Vikings 36-3, with Mr. Guffey contributing a first-period fall.

 Further, congratulations to the University of Pittsburgh's Coach Rande Stottlemyer.  On January 28, 2009, the Pitt Panthers won their dual meet against Cleveland State, marking Coach Stottlemyer's 250th dual meet win.  Congratulations Coach Rande Stottlemyer!
