The Eastern Wrestling League Wrestler of the Week for the week ended February 24, 2008, is Jared Villers.  Jared is a senior at West Virginia University, competes at 197 pounds, and is from Akron, Ohio.

  This past week Villers, a two-time EWL champion, wrestled two dual meet bouts and won them both.  On February 22 Jared pinned his Edinboro opponent, and, on February 24, he majored his Cleveland State foe.

  Those two Villers' wins accounted for a total of ten team points for the Mountaineers, and, added to his other four intra-league dual meets this season, gave Mr. Villers a total of 29 points in EWL v EWL dual meet competition for the year.  That total earns Jared the annual EWL award for Most Points in intra-league dual meets.
