Cleveland State University's Victer Crenshaw

The Eastern Wrestling League Wrestler of the Week for the week ended January 7, 2007, is Victer Crenshaw, a sophomore from Cincinnati, Ohio, who wrestles 157 pounds for Cleveland State University.  This past week Mr. Crenshaw went 4-0, racking up dual-meet wins against opponents from Kent State, Appalachian State, Eastern Illinois, and Purdue.

  On January 3 Cleveland State hosted in-state rival, Kent State University.  Although the Vikings lost the meet, Crenshaw decisioned, by a score of 3-1, one of Kent State's best wrestlers, Kurt Gross.  On January 6 Cleveland State competed in the Purdue Duals, won one of three matches, with Crenshaw scoring a major decision against Ed Hutchinson of Appalachian State, a tech fall over Kile O'Toole of Eastern Illinois, and a solid 7-1 victory against Jake Murphy of Purdue.
