University of Edinboro's Nate Yetzer

  The EWL wrestler of the week for the week ended December 12, 2004, is the University of Edinboro's Nate Yetzer, a senior from Ohio.

  This past weekend Edinboro beat Buffalo in a dual meet by a score of 24-9 on Saturday, then on Sunday dropped their match with Penn State 33-8.  Mr. Yetzer, however, won both his bouts at 165 pounds, decisoning his Buffalo opponent 10-4, then tech falling his PSU foe 26-11.  Well done!

  Yetzer had a big 2004 season, competing up at 174 pounds.  He won the PSAC crown, the EWL title, and gained All-American at the NCAA Tournament by placing eighth.  Nate's overall record for last season was a gaudy 37-6.  Nate's looking to repeat his championships this season and do even better at the NCAA's, now competing down at his fighting weight of 165.
